Peace & Friendship Football World League Grand Prix 2025 Official Site

"My players will put all of their hearts on the pitch."

Israel is gearing up for its first game in the Peace and Friendship World League following two years of challenging times and war. What a first game it will be… Brazil, the top team in the World League, will come to the Promised Land to face the Blue and White squad.

Although Oved Kraus has never coached at a professional level, he is regarded as one of the most unique coaches in the World League. The uncompromising coach of Israel knows that his team, currently ranked 44th, is not exactly the favorite for the Grand Prix next week: "Brazil is fully respected, but my players will put all of their hearts on the pitch. I believe in this team. We have extraordinary DNA, and the guys understand what this tournament means for us and for our country."

The Israeli team has shown outstanding results; in 21 games, they have won 18 and have yet to lose. "I can say that all of our wins reflect the commitment that each player has to this team. We played 21 games, never with the same squad, but everyone knows the system, the way to play, and my expectations."

Is Israel expecting to win against Brazil and Hungary? "We will play our game, and may the best team win."

Last but not least, he reflects on the situation in his country: "It’s such a beautiful land, with great people and stunning views. We can only pray that our enemies will love life more than they hate us, and of course, we wish for an era of peace; we all need it."
